Material Innovation Project

My material innovation project explores tights and hosiery, looking at how both positives and negatives relating to their material and function, can inform knitwear. Leading on from themes of knotting I have previously explored, I looked at the looping of knit. The project explores knitwear in combination with tailoring with the aim of creating a wearable AW21 collection, that can be worn by multiple sizes. All samples in this project are knitted by hand using sustainable found and donated materials.
